Step 1
Prepare gluing
Clean the adhesive surface with an alcohol wipe and test the adhesive effect using the enclosed TEST adhesive. If it does not hold, clean further, see our Q&A.

The following are the essential steps for installing your new phone holder. We will start with installing the holder itself and then use our cable management kit to give your cockpit a clean look.
Vehicle adapter
Step 2
Remove protective film
Now remove the red protective film from the adhesive on the holder.
Step 3
Insert Cable
Insert the charging cable into the holder as shown in the illustration.
Step 4
Mount holder
Position the holder as shown in the illustration and secure it by applying pressure.
Mobile phone holder
Step 1
Pre-assembly
Fix the mobile phone holder to the vehicle adapter, tighten the screws only slightly.
Step 2
Open cheeks
Pull the cheeks of the mobile phone holder apart.
Step 3
Insert mobile phone
Insert mobile phone.
Step 4
Close cheeks
Press the cheeks against the mobile phone and carefully remove the mobile phone.
Step 5
Fix cheeks
Tighten all 6 screws of the mobile phone holder.
Cable routing
Step 1
Prepare gluing
Clean the adhesive area with the cleaning cloth, wait one minute before continuing.
Step 2
Cable in position
Place the cable in the position shown in the illustration and plug it into the USB socket.
Step 3
Prepare gluing
Remove the red protective film from the adhesive tape on the cable guide.
Step 4
Gluing
Install the cable guide at the marked position.

Tighten the two central adjustment screws slightly. This makes it harder for the cheeks to move and the adjustment is easier.
The cheeks cannot be pulled out. What to do?
Make sure that all six screws are loosened.
You can finely adjust the pressure on the cheeks with the two centre adjustment screws.
The adhesive test does not work, the bracket does not hold.
Some cleaning and cockpit sprays contain silicone, which prevents adhesion.
Use a special degreasing silicone cleaner and repeat the application several times until the bonding works on this surface.
I have broken a part or need a different cable for my new mobile phone

My mobile phone is charging too slowly or the car battery is flat. What can I do?
VW often uses charging sockets with low charging power. Use the cigarette lighter with a suitable adapter instead.
Attention: The cigarette lighter does not switch off automatically when the car is switched off. It is best to pull out the plug after use to avoid a flat battery.
